Career Directions

Graduates can pursue careers in translation research or engage in text analysis and the building of bilingual terminology data banks. For those undertaking practical translation and interpreting work, opportunities abound such as interpreting for international conferences, press conferences, receptions, product promotions, depositions; or they can engage in mass media translating and editing, or translating books for publishing companies. Our alumni are now prolific translators with books published by prestigious publishers, and some are on their way to becoming established professional conference interpreters.
