To help students achieve high professional standards in a diverse and competitive job market, a multi-faceted curriculum is offered. There is a series of skill-based training courses in Chinese/English Translation, Sight Translation, Consecutive Interpretation, and Simultaneous Interpretation. In addition, Translation Theories and Research, Media Translation and Editing, Translation Technology, and courses on Background Knowledge of a variety of fields are provided to broaden students’ horizons and make them well-rounded professionals.

Study of translation and interpreting theories and research, together with the establishment of data banks of translation terminology and translation websites add to the productivity and depth of research and scholarship.
